Club Information

On July 5th 1950 a public meeting was held at Burton Town Hall.  The purpose, to form a new football club.  Over 700 attended, a vote was taken to name the new club and although a number of suggestions were put forward the overwhelming choice was “Burton Albion”.  The club was born.

More than fifty years later and the club are once again taking giants steps to achieve its true potential since the appointment of the highest profile manager in Burton Albion's history.
