EQUALITY POLICY

The Chairman and board will ensure anyone who wishes to engage with the club is able to do so, whether a supporter, staff, player, participant in Community Trust programmes or any other person engaged with the club’s activities.

Burton Albion is a safe and welcoming place for all our staff, supporters, visitors and guests. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination and we are committed to ensuring that equality of opportunity is at the very heart of everything we do to ensure we provide fair and non-prejudicial access to the services across the football club.

It is the policy of Burton Albion Football Club that no person, whether a job applicant, employee, volunteer, supporter or customer, shall be discriminated against.

BURTON ALBION FOOTBALL CLUB SAFEGUARDING STATEMENT

Burton Albion Football Club (BAFC) operates a child or adult at risk centred approach to safeguarding and where concerns about the welfare of a child/adult at risk exist, staff will always act in the best interest of the child/adult at risk.

BAFC fully acknowledges and accepts its responsibility for the well-being and safety of all children/adults at risk engaged in activities. It is the duty and responsibility of all staff working at BAFC to ensure they are safeguarding children/adults at risk by creating an environment that protects them from harm.

We believe that the general well-being welfare and safety of all children/adults at risk engaged in activities is of the upmost importance. BAFC will fulfil its responsibilities by ensuring it displays best practice in safeguarding matters, conducted in a spirit of partnership and openness with the child/adult at risk family and the relevant local authority.
