Brewers bring in Bury goalkeeper

Burton Albion have completed the loan signing of 24-year-old Bury goalkeeper Rob Lainton.

The former Bolton Wanderers shot stopper has signed in time to be involved in today's Sky Bet League 2 clash with Morecambe.

The 6ft 4in goalkeeper had made six appearances for the Shakers this season, keeping one clean sheet.

Lainton said: "I am delighted about the move, this is a club that are challenging at the top of the table so it is great to come here and try and be involved.

"Obviously Dean has been doing really well in recent weeks and it is up to me to push him as much as possible to get that starting spot.

"If we can continue or form from a few weeks ago it will be a very exciting final few months of the season, we've all just got to work hard from now until the end of the season."

Lainton will wear the number one shirt.
