Ghana manager visits Pirelli

27 March 2014

Burton Albion were delighted to welcome Ghanaian national team manager James Kwesi Appiah to the Pirelli Stadium for the home game with Wycombe Wanderers.

Appiah was a guest of Chairman Ben Robinson as the Brewers beat Wycombe 1-0, with Appiah visiting the country ahead of the World Cup, which is held in Brazil this summer.

With the Burton Albion Community Trust visiting Ghana this summer, Appiah spent time with members of the BACT to talk about the visit, as well as having a photo with some of the volunteers who will be flying out in May.

Chairman Ben Robinson said “We were delighted to welcome James and his guests to the Pirelli Stadium on Tuesday evening to watch the game.

"His visit was even more relevant, with our Community Trust volunteers travelling out to Ghana this summer to help local schools, and we hope to see him back here in the future.”
