Striker signs on loan for the season
Burton Albion have signed Preston North End striker Stuart Beavon on a season-long loan deal.
The 30 year-old forward scored three goals for North End last season, featuring in their League One play-off campaign.
Before signing for Preston in 2012, Beavon had a spell at Wycombe Wanderers in which he scored 34 goals in 117 appearances, including 25 goals in the 2011/12 season in Wycombe’s league campaign.
“This club has what it takes to get promoted. I watched some of the games last season and seen the players that have come in so we have a great chance of promotion,” said Beavon.
“Having been involved at Preston in the play-offs last season, I didn’t really want to leave League One but having seen what this club can do I’m really looking forward to joining up with the lads and getting started.”
