BRAYFORD NOT WORRIED ABOUT FORMATIONS

1 December 2016

DEFENDER John Brayford says whatever formation manager Nigel Clough decides on against Rotherham it is up to the Brewers players to deliver.

He said: “We were pleased with how the 4-4-2 formation worked Saturday - we probably should have been 3-0 up in the first 15 minutes against Preston. We came out the blocks well and we play with no fear and we will look to do the same on Saturday. The players know whether it is a three or four at the back 100% effort will be put in.

“When Preston put us under pressure on Saturday in the second half, we stood up well. We know the Reading game the week before was probably our worst performance so far this season. It’s the only game where the gaffer told us that we didn’t turn up. It was a reminder that we need to be on it, not only in matches but also everyday in training.

“We all know it was an off day and thankfully we haven’t had too many of them so far this season, which is credit to everyone involved with the club.”
