WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS PREVIEW

9 September 2016

THE Brewers are back in footballing action tomorrow after the first international break of the season.

Four Burton Albion players jetted off for international duty over the past ten days picking up 135 minutes of playing time between them. Tom Flanagan flew back early due to a thigh injury and he was unable to play any part in Northern Ireland's goalless draw with Czech Republic.

Burton travel 50 minutes south to face ninth-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers in the sixth match of the Championship season.

Wolves have lost just once this season under Walter Zenga, 1-0 away from home at the hands of table-toppers Huddersfield Town.

They have enjoyed a busy summer this season having brought in eight players, six of those for undisclosed fees. They have said goodbye to nine players this summer of which six left on a free transfer.

Nigel Clough is expecting a tough test from the big spenders in the Championship.

He said: “They are certainly one of the big spenders in the Championship. They have invested big. That highlights the difference between clubs like that and us.

“They are playing well and have a lot of confidence. We have Fulham coming up as well.

“Anything we can get on the road will be a bonus. With Brighton at home and Norwich away, the next four games will be as difficult as we will have all season.

“We could play well in all of them and not get anything out of them – that’s the quality you have in the Championship.”

All Burton Albion supporters planning to travel to Wolves on Saturday will need to buy a ticket. Ticket prices are; Adults - £30, Senior (65 and over) - £15, Under 21 - £15 , Under 17 - £12, Under 12 - £10.

Tickets will go off sale at 4pm today and all pre-booked tickets will need to be collected from the Pirelli Stadium by midday on Saturday.

Away travel for this fixture is also on sale. The coaches depart the Pirelli Stadium at noon and are expected to return at 6PM. The price per seat is just £8.
