CALUM BUTCHER AGREES PERMANENT MOVE

25 August 2016

CALUM Butcher has today moved to Millwall after agreeing a two-year deal with the London club.

Butcher was signed by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink from Dundee United in the summer of 2015 on a two-year deal.

He has this season been used as a striker by Nigel Clough after playing mostly in midfield last season. He played his last game for the Brewers on Tuesday night against Liverpool in the EFL Cup.

Nigel Clough said: "We were sorry to see Calum go but he asked to leave as he wanted to play regular football.

"It's part of the process when you win promotion and as he wanted to go we wouldn't stop him. He has been a good player for us and we wish him all the best."
