CLOUGH LOOKS FOR BREWERS TO REMAIN SOLID AT SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY

7 March 2017

NIGEL Clough believes that Albion face a difficult task at Sheffield Wednesday tonight with the Owls having a wealth of attacking options.

He said: “It’s a different team than the one that we faced earlier in the season.

“Jordan Rhodes is a great striker – a good goal scorer and they have a lot of players who can hurt you.

“We went to Derby and tried to be solid but we still wanted to break and score – we just didn’t get many opportunities. We did the same at Bristol but had a lot more situations and opportunities so we are looking for a similar performance to that.

“It’s not about formations, you can be solid which ever way you play, but when we have the ball we want to attack and I think we did that with a better balance on Saturday.

“There will be 25-30,000 there and we have to relish it. We will take a good following – our support away from home has been excellent and very vocal in the last few weeks when we have needed it.

“This is what we are in the Championship for to play these sort of games.”
