CLOUGH SAYS BRIGHTON ARE ONE OF THE BEST TEAMS IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP

16 September 2016

BREWERS manager Nigel Clough is expecting another tough test against Brighton and Hove Albion tomorrow.

The Seagulls come into this game on the back of a 1-0 victory against surprise table toppers Huddersfield.

Clough said: “They’re a good club with a good structure, they invest wisely. I think they’re one of the best teams in the Championship.”

He was also full of praise for Brighton manager Chris Hughton, saying: “He’s done a brilliant job, he's done a good job everywhere he’s been.

“I think he’s been a bit unlucky, especially during his time at Newcastle. They were bottom six when he took over and now they’re serious promotion contenders.”

However, the strain of the Championship is starting to take its toll as Burton will be without a possible eight first team players for the clash.

“I’m not sure well be able to name the 18 on Saturday, we probably wont get the full seven subs out there. Its going to be a tough test on Saturday and we’ll try to get a team out to compete as always

“It might be that we have to resort to a back four again on Saturday. We’ve still got four important games to come.”
