THE annual Burton Albion Community Trust awards “A night to inspire” took place at the Pirelli Stadium on Thursday which was a great evening showcasing the good work that BACT does on a daily basis.
On the night several awards were up for grabs in front of a big audience including manager Nigel Clough, chairman Ben Robinson, Academy Director Dan Robinson and many sponsors as well as Community staff, friends and family.Brewers manager Nigel Clough said: “The community trust is absolutely vital to Burton Albion, the football club and the success of it then enables the community to go out and do more good work than they already do.”
Head of the Community Andy Taylor said after: “It has been a fantastic evening, I am absolutely delighted to see smiles on the winners faces, throughout the whole of the evening we’ve really been able to showcase what we do, with our partners, with our funders and we are very grateful to all our sponsors.
"We are also thankful to the Ashfield Commercial & Medical Services for sponsoring the evening as a whole and to all the individual award sponsors that have made the night possible. It really was a night to inspire and we are delighted with how it has gone."

Star Award for Football Development – presented by Rysard Kawak from Townsend & Renaudon went to Charlie Fairhurst and Leighton Thomas.
Star Award for Health and Inclusion – presented by Neil Carpenter from Palletforce went to Chelsea Jenkins.
Star Award for Education & Learning, presented by Paul Collis from McVitie’s went to Matt Tantrum.
Star Award for Football and Education, presented by Nigel Clough and Ben Robinson went to Cameron Steele.
Star Award for National Citizen Service, presented by Carl Naylor from Pirelli went to Dylan Lambton-Rollings.
Young Volunteer of the Year, presented by Sarah Drew from Burton & South Derbyshire College, goes to Harry Winterton which was accepted by Charlie Jones on his behalf.
Project of the year, presented by Tony Brealey from Reabrook Ltd went to the Healthy Families Change for Life project.
Awareness Campaign of the Year, presented by Richard Grovesnor from East Staffs Borough Council goes to Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for their Prostate Cancer campaign.
Employee of the Year, presented by Andy Holgate, from Ashfield Commercial & Medical Services goes to Katie Johnson.
