MANAGER'S VERDICT - BIRMINGHAM

21 October 2016

NIGEL Clough was delighted to end a tough week with a win but believes his Brewers team deserved more than four points from the three games.

Speaking after the 2-0 win over Birmingham the Brewers boss said: "We deserved it all week after the way we played against Wigan and Ipswich as well and four points isn't as many as we should have got.

"But we can't do anything about the last two games - all we could do was win tonight.

"We had to weather a bit of a storm at the start as Birmingham started very well - they haven't conceded a goal in the first 15 minutes in any game this season because they start like that.

"What we did was to hang on in there and from that point on I thought we were better the team

"We still missed some chances but we will settle for the two after the chances we missed this week. When we start taking our chances hopefully the results will match the performances."
