NIGEL CLOUGH LOOKING TO OFFER DEAL TO DEFENDER

20 July 2016

Brewers manager Nigel Clough gave an update on the trialists that have taken part in the Albion’s pre season after the game last night at Kidderminster Harriers.

“Lee Williamson came in today in centre midfield and showed that he is full of experience and can play in other positions. He will come down to Exeter with us, so we can have another look at him.

“Ryan Delaney is off back to Ireland this morning, he’s a cracking lad and we would look to try and get him fixed up if we can. He hasn’t played at a high standard in football and doesn’t train full time, that’s why we brought him off today he was a bit tired.

“In terms of Hyuga Tanner, unfortunately for him we don’t really run a full time under 21 squad. So we had to leave him due to so much competition in our midfield for the Championship season, but you could see he is technically gifted.

“With Jay Tabb, he is a great professional and great lad. We haven’t ruled out bringing him in but for the time being we are waiting to hear back on a few of our loan enquiries for wide players so we aren’t in the position currently of bringing him in.”
