NOTHING WRONG WITH AWAY PERFORMANCES SAYS CLOUGH

27 October 2016

NIGEL Clough believes that Albion’s form away from home is as good as at the Pirelli – even if the points totals don’t show it.

The Brewers head for Leeds on Saturday, still looking for a first away win in the Championship.

Clough said: “There’s a difference between our home record and away record but there hasn’t been a big difference in terms of performances. It’s just a case of keeping doing what we have been doing in the last two months and it will come.

“We have played well at home against Sheffield Wednesday, Derby, Birmingham and Cardiff and have got wins but we have played just as well on the road.

“I don’t know if it’s just because home teams have had a bit of a break against us but we should have won at Wolves and at places like Norwich we lost but have played well.

“It’s just about keeping up that level of performance, getting that victory and then we will be OK away from home as well.

“It might take a break, a bit of luck to get us up and running because we have been so close. Even on the first day of the season we could have had a win at Forest. Maybe we have just got all our breaks at home.”
