NIGEL Clough believes Brighton are one of the best two teams in the Championship.
The Brewers make one of the longest and most testing trips of the season on Saturday when they travel to the South coast to take on Chris Hughton’s side.
Clough said: “Brighton and Newcastle I still think will be the automatic two to get promotion.
“Chris Hughton has done a magnificent job. He saved them from relegation, took them to the play offs last year and they were unlucky not to go up and now they challenging for automatic promotion this year. They have invested well and recruited well."
Albion and Brighton both need points for different reasons – so who will be under the most pressure?
Clough said: “Every one of the 16 games now there will be a little pressure on us but also on Brighton as they have taken one point from six.
“They have a magnificent home record this season so if you sit back they will steam roller you. One of our strengths all season has been taking the game to the opposition. We haven’t always got our rewards for it but I think that’s the best way for us.”
Clough knows it’s a daunting task.
“It’s case of enjoy this one – enjoy the trip, the stadium and hopefully we will be visiting them again.
“It will be the first one everyone will put down for a home win on Saturday. But we have two wins out of three now and we will ask the lads to have a go. They are a superior team to us but that doesn’t mean you can’t get something from that.”
