CHAIRMAN'S THANKS TO SHIRT SPONSOR

29 June 2016

BURTON businessman Rob Brown has been thanked by Burton Albion chairman Ben Robinson for his long-standing commitment in providing the club’s main shirt sponsorship.

Rob’s portfolio of companies have been seen on Burton Albion’s first team shirts for a decade as the Brewers have risen from the Conference to the Championship.

Roger Bullivant, Mr Cropper, Anvil Hire and last season Baytree Cars have all been the club’s main shirt sponsor with the company logos seen on both the first team and supporters’ shirts.

Rob is  a director of the club and will be continuing in that capacity with his companies also carrying on supporting the Brewers but he has stepped back from the main shirt sponsor role to allow the Brewers to explore new opportunities resulting from promotion.

Brewers chairman Ben Robinson said: “I would like to thank Rob for the terrific support his companies have given us as our main shirt sponsors. It has been a key partnership during a very successful period for Burton Albion. Such a long-standing sponsorship partnership is almost unique in football.

“Although we will be exploring other areas in shirt sponsorship, Rob will continue to play an important role as a director of the club and through his businesses will continue to support Burton Albion.”

Rob said: “I’m delighted that businesses I’m associated with have been able to be seen on Burton Albion’s shirts during the club’s rise up the football ladder over the last decade.

“It's now a great time for the club to maximise the sponsorship opportunities that promotion to the Championship has opened up."
