SKIPPER SAYS NICE KNOWING SIDE CAN RELAX GOING INTO READING GAME

5 May 2017

JOHN Mousinho says it’s nice to go into the final game this weekend against Reading and being able to relax after the last two seasons final games being so tense.

Mousinho said: “It’s nice to go into the final weekend not having anything to play for. In League Two we had the chance to be crowned Champions with a win and last season against Doncaster knowing a point would secure automatic promotion to the Championship was as nervous as it gets in football.

"It’s been nice to relax this week and not have to think about it too much, we will obviously go out there with the intention to attack and to win the game but at the same time it’s nice that we don’t have any pressure on us. It’ll be nice for the fans and to thank the fans for their efforts this season.”

Mousinho is looking forward to the summer break to recharge the batteries after Sunday afternoon: “The length of the season is a long slog, we have unbelievable jobs finishing work at half one, two. Anybody reporting on football knows how long the season goes on for. I think it’s important you take a firm break from it all, it’s important for players to get away, enjoy themselves and spent time with friends and family till July.”
