SKIPPER SAYS GAME PLAN WORKED OUT BRILLIANTLY FOR BREWERS

1 April 2017

BREWERS skipper John Mouinho said it was a "brilliant feeling" to come away with a 1-0 win at Huddersfield.

The defender said: "We set up to take a point but we also knew we could hurt them and as the game went on we had more and more chances. In all honesty when the fourth official put the board up we would have settled for the draw and a great clean sheet but we got what we deserved.

"We had a few great chances and the put one away and it was a brilliant feeling to come away with a win.

"It was nice because everyone probably wrote us off and other teams perhaps expected Huddersfield to win so that makes it all the sweeter and it was a bonus for us.

"The main facet of our game was to keep a clean sheet and we set up very well to do that. But it wasn't completely negative and we left two up the entire game. To do that away from home was pretty brave and that paid off in the end.

"The more the game went on and we frustrated them the more we knew it would open up for us and it did in the 95th minute.

"That was the game plan and it went better than we imagined and we have come away with three points."
