BATTLING WIN WAS ANOTHER 'MASSIVE' THREE POINTS

6 October 2015

BURTON Albion midfielder Tom Naylor hailed a “massive three points” after helping secure victory over Southend.

It was Naylor’s shot that was deflected into the net for the only goal of the game.

He says: “Clearly I struck it and I wasn’t sure whether it was going in or not. Obviously when it’s your first goal for the club you would like to claim it.

"It was very different to Sheffield. We know how Southend play from last season. The first 10 or 15 minutes was difficult but we changed it up and did what we needed to secure the three points.”

Naylor says Albion deserve to be top after a great start to the season.

“It shows in the table,” he says. “That doesn’t lie. We do everything together and everyone knows what they are doing.

“It has been frustrating not being in the starting 11 but I took it on the chin and was delighted to get my chance against Southend and help secure three points.”
