Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has confirmed that the Brewers are one of a number of clubs looking at Grays Athletic midfielder Nathan Ferguson.
The 20-year-old is one of the most promising young players in the non-league ranks with a string of scouts following his progress.
Hasselbaink says: “He is in our plans. He is a young boy, he is very good on the ball and has got a little bit of interest from other teams but hopefully he will progress with us.
“We need to think of the future, look at what is out there in non-league and get some assets into the club.
“He fits that mould. He’s energetic; one of the new breed who can bring some excitement to the club.”
