MIX FUN AND FOOTBALL AND MEET BREWERS HEROES

17 July 2015

FOOTBALL mad youngsters are being offered the chance to meet their Burton Albion heroes at holiday camps during the summer holidays.

Burton Albion Community Trust is running a series of summer camps aimed at all ages and abilities that will mix fun and football at locations across East Staffordshire.

Not only will the five-day courses allow youngsters to develop their skills, make new friends and have a  great time under the watchful eye of the trust’s fully trained staff, there will also be either a tour or competition day at the end of each five-day camp. Tours featured include a visit to Manchester United’s world famous Old Trafford Stadium on selected courses. The competition days offer youngsters the chance to win prizes and test out their new skills.

Each of the camps will be visited by members of Burton Albion’s first team squad with a chance to have your picture taken with the League Two Trophy, which was won by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s champions last season.

The first courses start on July 20 in Burton and Uttoxeter with new camps starting every week up to and including August 24.

Matt Hancock, community manager, says: “The camps are a great chance for youngsters to mix fun and football during the school holidays. After the brilliant championship-winning season enjoyed by Burton Albion we are sure that the kids will also enjoy meeting the players during the week.”

Advanced prices for the courses start at £70.

In addition, this summer Burton Albion Community Trust is also offering girls only camps and summer camps for those with disabilities.
