CP FOOTBALL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS TO BE HELD AT ST GEORGE'S PARK

20 May 2015

In build up to the CP Football World Championships hosted by the FA in June and CP World Games hosted by CP Sport in August, we are delighted to announce the 2015 CP Football Kick-Off Event as part of the CP Sport National Football Programme.

Hosted at St. George's Park, home of the Football Association, it will provide the opportunity for all ages and abilities to play football at the same place as all of the 16 countries competing in CP Football World Championships in June.

Bringing together local hubs of CP football, the aim is to provide a positive football environment to ensure players have fun playing the game, experience the world class facilities of St. George's Park and be part of a great year of cerebral palsy sport. The event will focus on age and ability appropriate small-sided games to allow everyone to take part whether it’s their first step onto the football pitch or a regular player.

Supported and endorsed the by the FA as a development programme, CP Frame Football will make its third appearance at St. George's Park and be a fantastic opportunity for frame users across the country to play an impairment and mobility needs specific format of the game. As an ongoing development programme, the CP Football Kick-Off event will form another milestone in getting more young people engaged and more opportunities developed.

Both groups/teams and individuals are welcome to attend, but all players will be split into age groups of 5-11 years, 12-16 years and 16 years+, as well as playing specific formats for ambulant CP football and CP Frame Football.

For event details and more information please go towww.cpsport.org. Event entry fee of £5. Please note that you must book in advance.
