DERBY COUNTY PREVIEW

1 August 2015

Another tough test for Hasselbaink's men.

BURTON Albion entertain Derby County TODAY in the final friendly before the start of the 2015/16 Sky Bet League 1 campaign begins when the Brewers host Scunthorpe United at the Pirelli Stadium on August, 8.

The Brewers have already played three friendlies at home so far, all against higher opposition in Wolverhampton Wanderers, Birmingham City and Premier League Leicester City.

One win and two defeats is the current record this pre-season but Hasselbaink’s team have shown some inspiring performances and he has showcased the hard work they have put in during the build-up to the new season.

Hasselbaink said “Today’s game is another hard game but another good one for us.

“We will be able to see where we are.

“Derby are a good side so there will be some more changes on our behalf.”

The Dutchman hasn’t taken things lightly during pre-season with his side training in the morning before the Wolverhampton and the Leicester City fixture. He knows that his method may have affected the result of the match but he is looking for the long-term result.

“Don’t forget we trained before the last game against Leicester and it was quite a tough session.

“You could see them tire in the last 20 minutes.”
