BURTON Albion will host Bury in the first round of the EFL Trophy.
The fixture will be played during the week commencing 8 August which means it will be the first home game of the season.
Burton were a seeded team in the draw along with Derby County, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest.
Nigel Clough: "We like a home draw - so it's good that we got one and have an opportunity to progress.
"That last minute equaliser by Tyler Walker against Bury last season was the point that helped us get across the promotion line.Â
"We always like to do well in the cups if we can but this season more than ever the league is a priority.
"We still want to try and get through and we will put a team out on the pitch come the time that we believe can do that."
Ticket information will be released in due course.
