Academy graduates progress as first team professionals.
The club can confirm that Liam Slade, Mark Shelton, Sam Hornby and Sam Austin have all signed professional contracts with Burton Albion.First team coach Neill Hornby said "It is fantastic for all the young players. They have all worked extremely hard and deserve their opportunity.
"A special thanks goes to Mike Whitlow and all of the academy staff for their hard work.
"All four players are products of the academy system at the football club and it just shows the good work being done by the staff at the club."
