HASSELBAINK IS LOOKING FOR A REACTION REGARDLESS OF WHO HIS TEAM PLAYS

5 March 2015

The Brewers will be looking to get back to winning ways on Saturday against Hartlepool United, a team which Hasselbaink’s side put four past when they came to the Pirelli.

Regardless of their league position, Brewers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink isn’t bothered who his team plays, he just wants a reaction from his players.

“It doesn’t matter who we play.” Hasselbaink told burtonalbionfc.co.uk

He went on to add “We need a reaction.

“Whoever we play we need a reaction.”

After two consecutive defeats, both in the same week, Albion have slipped to second in the Sky Bet League 2 table after being overlapped by Shrewsbury Town on goal difference.

With those two defeats in mind, the Brewers have only lost three in 18 since the arrival of dutch manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. He admitted that the results were just one of those things and that he is looking to get his team “back on track”.

“We need a reaction and we need to get back on track.

“It is just one of those things.”

Hartlepool United are rooted to the bottom of the league table and are seven points from safety. Last time out, they lost 2-0 to a Dagenham & Redbridge side which the Brewers beat 3-1 after coming from a goal behind in February.

Hasselbaink is concentrating on the lads just putting in a good performance whilst trying to replicate past performances.

“It doesn’t matter if it is Hartlepool or whoever.

“We just need a good performance.

“We need the good performances which we had in the past and that is it.”
