The Brewers faced Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday 21st February, followed by Accrington Stanley last Tuesday and to round the week off, Albion’s third game in the same week was the defeat to Newport County AFC.
Hasselbaink said Newport looked fresher because they had the whole week to prepare. Had Adam McGurk's curling first half effort nestled in the back of the net rather than bounce back out off the inside of the post then Albion could have been contemplating stretching their lead at the top of Skybet League 2.

“Whatever you say, they looked fresher.
“You can say that if the ball that hit the post goes in, then you have time for a breather and the game opens up for you to control it a little bit more.
“It wasn’t meant to be and it is only disappointing the way the goal went in.
“It’s a pity but we have to move on.”
