HORNBY LEAVES CLOUGH'S BACKROOM STAFF

16 May 2016

BURTON Albion coach Neill Hornby has left the club to pursue new career options after helping guide the Brewers to the Championship.

Hornby was part of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s backroom staff and continued to help coach the first team after Nigel Clough was appointed manager in December.

He agreed to stay on until the end of the season in order to help ensure a smooth transition between managers but has now left to pursue new challenges.

Nigel Clough said: “It was important we had that continuity when we took over from Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and I would like to thank Neill for helping us keep on track and ultimately gain promotion.

“We wish him well in his future football career.”
