Saturday's game sees McLaughlin face his former club Bradford City of whom he made around 200 appearances for, two of those appearances were in the play-off semi-final against Burton Albion.
Jon McLaughlin said: “It will be a good occasion, one that I look forward to.
“It was one of them at the start of the season where you look out on the fixtures when was it going to be that we come up against Bradford.
“It will be the first time that I have come up against them since I left.
“We were disappointed when the game on Boxing Day was called off.
“It would have been a great occasion at that time of the year.
“Not just myself but the rest of the team are looking forward to it.
“They travel well and take a lot of fans so I’m sure it will feel like a big occasion.”
