Burton Albion have accepted an offer from Oxford United to buy Alex MacDonald subject to the player is to undergoing a medical and agreeing personal terms.
Brewers manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink said “It is sad to see Alex go.
“He has been an excellent player for Burton Albion, and I have enjoyed working with him.
“For a player out of contract, it is good business for the club.
Everybody at Burton Albion would like to wish Alex all the best in the future also to thank him for his time at the club.”
