MATTHEWS JOINS FROM NORWICH CITY ON A ONE MONTH LOAN

27 November 2014

Remi Matthews joins as a result of Weale's injury

Burton Albion have signed 20-year-old goalkeeper Remi Matthews from Norwich City on an initial one month loan.

Matthews has been with the Canaries since the age of ten. The Gorleston-born stopper has had loan spells at Leiston and Wroxham since signing a full-time scholarship in the summer of 2010.

Matthews has been a regular between the sticks for City's Development Squad, and signed a new two-deal with the Club in 2014.

He joins as a result of Chris Weale’s injury which he sustained on Wednesday. Matthews will be eligible to go straight into the squad on Saturday.

Matthews will wear squad number 32.
