MCCRORY SET TO START MILLWALL GAME

30 November 2015

DAMIEN McCrory is set to return to Burton Albion’s starting line up tomorrow but Robbie Weir is battling to be fit to face Millwall.

Brewers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink says: “It was a big decision on Saturday as to whether to bring Damien back after his hip flexor injury but Jerome didn’t play against Wigan and we didn’t want two players on that side who might break down. We always knew Jerome was going to last 60 or 70 minutes and didn’t want to take a chance on Damien as well.

“But as the game went we weren’t happy as the balance was not right and Damien came on and gave us that balance. He did very well and it was perfect for him to come in then and not just do 90 minutes after being out three weeks.”

Weir however may miss the Millwall clash after picking up a foot injury against Colchester.

Hasselbaink says: “Robbie is touch and go. He’s somebody who can play with pain and hopefully he will come through. We will do all in our power to give him a chance to play.”

Shane Cansdell-Sherriff will not be fit.

Hasselbaink says: “Shane is not ready as he has a  groin problem.”
