ON THE WHISTLE MATCH REPORT

Just the one change for the Brewers to the team that lost 2-1 to Rochdale last Saturday. In comes Mason Bennett on his return from injury, he replaces Anthony O'Connor.

Just 10 minutes in, there's no doubt the Brewers should have been a goal up. A chipped ball in from Duffy found Mousinho at the back post who headed back across goal and found Akins in space from 5 yards who hit it over the bar.

Minutes later Duffy was involved again, this time it was a shot of his wn that caused trouble from 20 yards but Williams did well to parry at his near post.

GOAL: On his full Burton Albion debut! Mason Bennett picked up a cross from Phil Edwards before bringing it down and rifling into the corner of the net via a small deflection. 1-0

Opposition striker James Hanson ran through on goal after a rare John Mousinho mistake but he couldn't find a way to put it past McLaughlin and between the sticks.

HT: Burton Albion 1-0 Bradford City

Bradford made two changes at the break. Marshall and Thomas on for Proctor and Routis.

The away side certainly came out stronger in the second half forcing the Brewers to defend several corners and set-pieces.

Both sides finally calmed the game down early in the second half and it was a good job the Brewers scored first as it then became a tough game to manipulate.

Mason Bennett was given as well deserved rest on 70 minutes as he was replaced by Calum Butcher.

GOAL: Tom Naylor doubled the lead towards the latter end of the second half. Some wonderful football down the left provided Naylor with the chance in the box to volley home! 2-0

GOAL: Just 5 minutes later it was 3! Winger Mark Duffy tapped home Beavon's cross at the back post after a nice back-heel from Phil Edwards to make it three. 3-0

Callum Reilly was given ten minutes of the second half as he replaced Mark Duffy on 80.

It was a strange second half really, there were no chances between any of the goals, but that doesn't matter if you're 3-0 up.

GOAL: Right at the death Bradford got one back through McCardle headed home a cross from the left.

FT: Burton Albion 3-1 Bradford City

Attendance: 3,796

Ash's man of the match: Tom Naylor
