STRIKER'S READY TO HELP BREWERS PROMOTION PUSH

31 March 2016

TYLER Walker is looking forward to helping Burton Albion in the League One promotion push.

The striker joined on loan from Nottingham Forest in time to join the squad at Millwall.

He said: “I wanted to come out and play some games and I’m really happy to have come to Burton and help the team get promotion.

“It was done a bit fast. I got a call from the Gaffer and it was done two days later. I’m delighted to come to a good team, a winning team, who play good football.”

Tyler came straight from the England under 20s squad to make the bench at Millwall.

“We were away for a week and it was a great experience for me. To be able to go from that to here was brilliant.

“I was buzzing to play at Millwall and try and help the lads. It was a bit quick going from England on the Sunday to Millwall on the Monday but I just want to play and that’s what I’m doing, so I’m happy.”

Nigel Clough believes that Walker’s pace will be a big asset to the Brewers and had no hesitation in throwing him into the thick of the action as a second half sub at Millwall.

Walker says: “If Nigel believes in me and I believe in myself, I’m sure I can help in this league, by stretching defences and getting behind them with pace, unlocking them and trying to score some goals.

“The fact that the Gaffer wanted me here and was keen to get the loan done was a big factor in me coming here and now I just want to play some football.”
