TIMMY Thiele is looking forward to playing in English football for the first time.
The striker, whowas last season at Borussia Dortmund II – the reserve side for the Bundesliga outfit – has signed a one-year-deal to play for the Brewers. He says: “In England you play good football, very fast and it’s a good fight. I’m a fast player and I hope I can make a good contribution.
“I can shoot with both feet and I can also play on the right or left side, wherever I’m needed.”
Although Thiele is happy to now be with Albion, he enjoyed his time at Borussia Dortmund.
He says: “Although I played in the reserve team, I sometimes trained with the first team. I had a few injuries which meant it wasn’t always good for me but now I’m healthy and I hope I stay healthy.
“I’m looking forward to playing in League One, that’s the third league in England and I played in the third League in Germany. I have seen League One on TV and I think it’s a good quality.
“I’m happy to be here and I would like to give 100 per cent and I hope I can help the team. The team has already been great with me. They have welcomed me in the group and I know it will be a good time here.
“I’m looking to get an apartment here and I’m looking forward to a good life in England.”
