Tomlinson Facing Spell on Sidelines

Keeper to See Specialist on Knee Injury

Burton Albion goalkeeper Stuart Tomlinson could be facing an extended spell on the sidelines with the knee injury he picked up against Port Vale more serious than first thought.

Burton Albion Head Physiotherapist James Rowland said, ‘He’s had a scan today but that has come back a bit inconclusive. We are going to see the specialist tomorrow (Friday). However it does look like there is the possibility of a serious injury to his knee.’

Gary Rowett said, ‘Tomo looks like it could be worse than we initially feared which is obviously a big blow for us. His presence and performances have been a huge part of our current run of good form.’

Tomlinson suffered the injury during a collision with Ben Williamson as the Port Vale striker scored the equaliser after Jordan Chapell had put Burton Albion ahead.
