BURTON Albion’s youth team are through to the second round of the FLYA Cup after beating Morecambe 3-1 at home on August, 29th.
The Brewers have been drawn away to Wigan Athletic in the second round which will be played on Saturday 3rd October 2015.The fixture will be played at Robin Park (WN5 0UH) with an 11:30AM kick off, the same day Burton Albion’s first team host Southend United at the Pirelli Stadium.
It has been a good start for Mike Whitlow’s team in the league with three wins from as many games against Grimsby Town, Oldham Athletic and Notts County respectively.
Chesterfield and Rotherham United will be Albion’s Youth Team opponents in the Youth Alliance league before they travel to Robins Park to face Wigan.
Should the Youth Team progress to the third round of the cup, the tie will be played on Saturday 31st October.
