Mark took over the Burton Albion Youth Team in January 2008 after finsihing his playing career at Northwich Victoria. Mark's playing career spanned 20 years, and played for clubs including Birmingham City, Stoke City and Colchester United, where he was a play off final winner.
Last Season Mark assisted Roy McFarland in guiding the Brewers to Blue Square Premier Champions and promotion to the Football League.
