6 ft 4in stopper who signed for Albion in July 2010 after rejecting a new contract with Crewe Alexandra. Born in Stafford, Adam began his football career with the Birmingham City academy but got his first experience of first team football during a loan spell at Alfreton Town in October 2005. A spell at Halifax Town in Conference National also gave him experience where he played against the Brewers. Signed his first professional contract in 2006 and also spent time on loan at Oldham Athletic and Macclesfield where he was brought in as back-up before playing 30 games for Halifax in a second loan spell. Left Birmingham in the summer of 2008 signing for Crewe Alexandra and keeping a clean sheet on his debut v. Hereford United. After a shoulder injury kept him out for seven months proved his fitness on loan to Weymouth in 2009, eventually deciding to move on from Gresty Road in search of regular first team football. Came to the Brewers highly recommended by player/coach Kevin Poole who was one of his coaches during his Birmingham City days.
