Jacques gave everyone at the Pirelli a huge boost when he signed a new 2 year deal with the club during the close season despite interest from the continent. An impressive 2010-11 season saw him finish as runner-up in the Player Of The Year poll. Blesses with great skill and pace Jacques footballing skills were honed at the Tottenham Hotspur Academy after he signed schoolboy forms with the North Londoners in 2003-04. He was an integral part of the side which won the reserve league in 2005-06 but injury then slowed his progression through the ranks and he was eventually released at the end of 2008-09. Former Spurs boss Martin Jol was keen to take Jacques to Hamburg at the time but the move never materialised. After his release from White Hart Lane, Albion and League 2 rivals Hereford were keen on the talented midfielder with the Brewers winning his signature. Jacques has also represented DR Congo, the country of his birth after making his mark but rejected further opportunities last season to concentrate on his club career.
