Shaun Barker joined-up with the Academy after he retired from playing at the end of the 2017/18 season.

The former defender, who played more than 350 EFL games across spells at Derby County, Rotherham and Blackpool, works with the Professional Development Phase on a part-time basis.

The former Derby County player was Nigel Clough’s club captain after battling back from devastating injury to surprise everyone by playing again for the Brewers.
