A brace of goals from Jamie Murphy was enough to earn Albion a hard earned point from an entertaining 2-2 draw with Bolton Wanderers

The Scottrish forward netted his sixth and seventh goals of a productive loan spell in an end to end game where Albion twice had to come from behind after former Albion defender Ryan Delaney had put the visitors ahead before Ethan Hamilton restored the Trotter lead after Murphy had bundled home his first from John-Joe O'Toole's back post header.

Both sides went in search of a winner after Murphy had bagged his second midway through the second half but the closest either side came was Wanderers midfielder Ali Crawford forcing Reece Hutchinson to head his effort off the line in a scramble inside the Burton box.

Despite being on the wrong end of the 3-2 result at Sincil Bank on Saturday afternoon it was an unchanged side that took to the field for the first of two successive home games as the Brewers looked to complete a double over the Trotter following the 4-3 win at the University Of Bolton Stadium on New Years Day. There was also a boost for Albion as Ben Fox appeared in a Burton squad for the first time since the opening pre-season friendly back in July, the youngster making it onto the bench as his recovery from injury continued.

Albion threatened to make a blistering start as they laid siege to the Bolton goal in the opening moments. Stephen Quinn had a chance to make an instant impact with a shot from the edge of the box only to see it blocked by Delaney.

John Brayford was next to go close with a header from a similar position to his header against Peterborough that found the back of the net. This time the experienced defender could not quite steer his effort on target as another ex-Brewer, Remi Matthews in the Bolton goal watched it drop wide of the upright.

But it was the visitors who hit the front on twenty minutes when a corner from the left picked out DELANEY at the back post, the Irishman planting his header beyond Ben Garratt for his first goal in a Bolton shirt.

Albion though were back in it less than ten minutes later with a goal from their own set piece. Oliver Sarkic swung in a corner deep to the far post and although it was O'Toole who got his head to it to head it goalwards MURPHY was the one to get the decisive touch to make sure it went over the line.

Bolton though were made of stern stuff and they regained the lead on 38 minutes, Crawford slipping the ball through for Manchester United loanee HAMILTON to take the ball on and slip it past Garratt.

It had been an open half and Albion would certainly be looking to tighten things up for the second half.

The visitors started the second half in confident mood with Hamilton winning the first in a flurry of corners taken by Crawford that had the Burton defence stretched before they finally saw off the danger to start and get on the front foot.

Crawford was the architect for Wanderers again on 57 minutes with a run into the right channel and his teasing cross was inches away from being converted by Joe Dodoo racing into the centre.

Quinn had to come off just before the hour mark having struggled since a coming together with Luke Murphy a few moinutes earlier. His departure from the action saw Scott Fraser introduced as Albion chased an equaliser.

And Albion had their equaliser on 65 minutes as some patient build up finally allowed Hutchinson to deliver in a beautifully targeted cross that allowed MURPHY to steer home his second of the game from 15 yards.

Crawford was only denied a goal to add to his brace of assists by an excellent headed clearance off the line by Hutchinson as the visitors chased the lead for the third time. Garratt making a smart stop from Dodoo before the ball landed at the feet of Crawford looking to bag the rebound.

Hamilton then whistled a shot inches wide of the upright before Albion responded with Akins flicking a cross wide of the target from the centre of the box.

Joe Sbarra took over from Sarkic for the final nine minutes with the game still anybodys for the taking but apart from picking up a booking the youngster could not quite propel the Brewers to a late victory.
