Exeter V Brewers Preview

31 August 2012

Pre match build up

Burton Albion will go into their League 2 clash against Exeter City full of confidence after upsetting Leicester City in emphatic style on Tuesday night (28 August).

Gary Rowett’s men stunned the Foxes beating them 4-2 in the Capital One Cup second round but it is back to league action on Saturday.

The Brewers will travel to St James Park for the first time since 2007 when both clubs were then playing in the Blue Square Premier.  That time around Albion thrashed their Devonshire opponents 4-1 with two strikes each from Shaun Harrad and Daryl Clare.

Jamie Mackie who now plays for QPR in the Premiership also scored for Exeter on that day.

Exeter have started the season in slightly better form winning twice and losing once in their opening three league games.

Burton have no fresh injury concerns other than Jimmy Phillips and captain John McGrath who have been out since the start of the season. Former Brewers shot stopper Artur Krysiak will also be likely to start in goal for the Grecians.
