Anthony O'Connor loan extended until January
Burton Albion have agreed a deal to extend the loan of Blackburn Rovers defender Anthony O'Connor until January 2013. The extension will see O'Connor, 19, remain with Burton Albion up until January 12th when Burton host Torquay United.O'Connor has made six appearances at right back so far this season and has impressed with a number of strong performances.
Speaking shortly after agreeing the loan extension O'Connor said, 'I'm delighted to extend my loan until January. Over the past month I've felt as though I've done well and I've been taking it each game at a time. Now I'm really happy to have extended it.
'It's been brilliant (playing first team football). I wasn't involved as much as I would have liked to have been at Blackburn so I had to get out and play first team football. Burton gave me the chance to do that and I feel that I'm a better player already from the time I've been here.'
