Rochdale v Brewers Preview

7 September 2012

Pre match build up

Burton Albion take on Rochdale on Saturday with new signing Stuart Tomlinson available for immediate selection.

Gary Rowett's men travel to the Spotland Stadium for their fourth away game on the spin, hoping to bounce back from their penalty shoot-out defeat to Coventry City in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Nathan Stanton and Marcus Holness could also be in line to face their old club where they made over 100 appearances each for the Dale.

The Brewers have no injury concerns with the exception of Jimmy Phillips and John McGrath who have been out since the start of the season. Billy Kee is unavailable however due to his call up for international duty with the Northern Ireland Under-21s.

Rochdale have started the season in slightly better form than Albion, taking five points from their opening four games. Burton are looking for their first league win since the 6-2 thumping of AFC Wimbledon.

A full interview with Gary Rowett is now available on Brewers Player.
