York City Preview

19 September 2012

Pre match build up

Burton Albion take on York City tonight (19 September) hoping to build on from their impressive 4-0 win at the weekend against Oxford United.

Billy Kee will be a doubt after suffering from a sickness bug and Chris Palmer has joined John McGrath and Jimmy Phillips on the sidelines with an ankle injury. The midfielder is expected to be out for up to eight weeks.

York sit one place above Burton in the league, both teams have nine points and the same goal difference from their opening six games.

The visitors lead by Gary Mills, last played Burton over three years ago. Albion, then led by Nigel Clough won the game 3-1 and was their eleventh straight league win - an all-time Conference record.

Burton went onto win promotion to the Football League that season.

Danny Blanchett could also make a return to the Pirelli Stadium having signed for York in the summer.

Seat tickets are available to pre purchase for this match by calling 01283 565938 or visiting the club shop. Admission to the terrace is payable by cash on the turnstiles.
