10 April 2013

Following the scintillating 2-0 victory over Wycombe on Tuesday evening, Burton Albion Manager Gary Rowett is encouraging the local community to get behind the side this weekend.

The Brewers made it nine wins from ten at the Pirelli on Tuesday night to move back into the automatic promotion places in npower League 2 with just three rounds of fixtures to play.

They host former Championship outfit Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, with the away side bringing a contingent of over 1000 fans as the Pilgrims look to secure their Football League survival.

For their part, the Brewers face arguably three of the most critical games in their recent history; with Rowett encouraging supporters to come out in force.

‘The fans have been fantastic all season, both home and away, and we’ll be counting on their support more than ever as we make a final push for promotion.

‘Burton is a family-centred and community-focused club and it would be great to capture the heart and minds of the local people ahead of a big game on Saturday.

‘We’ve made the Pirelli Stadium a fortress this season and what we do this weekend will go a long way in deciding how this season pans out; the supporters certainly have a huge part to play.’

The Pirelli Stadium has been the place to be this season for entertainment, with supporters witnessing nothing short of a goal-fest during the 2012/13 campaign.

The Brewers have been relentless at home, winning 15 games and scoring 45 goals in the process; the second best return out of all 24 clubs in the division.

Tickets at Burton Albion also represents the best value in the league in terms of pricing and are available at just £16 adults, £14 over 65s/students; with under 16s just £6.
