Matchday Programme title chosen

2 August 2013

The official 2013/14 Burton Albion programme will be known as The Matchday Brewer.

The club ran a competition asking supporters to make their suggestions for the programme title and received over 60 suggestions.

These were then narrowed down to five with Brewers boss Gary Rowett then choosing the winning entry; Mr Terry Root’s suggestion of The Matchday Brewer.

Mr Root will now be invited to the Pirelli Stadium to receive a signed copy of the first programme and to have his photograph taken with Gary.

Many thanks to all those supporters who took part.

The Brewers’ matchday programme is already highly-rated having been awarded fifth place in the Programme Awards for Football League 2 last season; however this season the publication aims to be even better.

As well as a variety of new features, a revamp will see a return to the standard sized football programme whilst there will also be an increase from 64 to 68 pages per edition with the first edition available at the Rochdale match on 10th August.
