From Monday 26th May – Friday 6th June 2014, a team of Burton Albion Community Trust supporters will visit a rural area of Ghana to spend 10 days volunteering with two NGO schools.
The trip will support the African Adventures’ annual Community Development Pledge, which supports and invests in the projects and areas volunteers visit. At the same time, funds African Adventures has raised over £250,000 for British football clubs’ charities will be raised to support the work of Burton Albion Community Trust, which serves the Burton and surrounding areas, meaning the event will make a lasting impact in the UK and Africa.
The trip is open to anybody who wants to help make a difference in a country where one third of the population do not have reliable access to clean water and live below the national poverty line.
The projects African Adventures work with offer education at no cost to its students and volunteers can help assist in the running and renovation of the two schools.
