England to face Russia and Slovenia at Pirelli Stadium
UEFA European U17 Championship
Elite Qualifying Round
23-28 March 2013
Burton Albion FC
England U17s will be returning to the Pirelli Stadium in March as they bid for a place in May's European Championship Finals.
John Peacock's squad face opposition from Russia and Slovenia at the home of Burton Albion with only the nation who finishes top of the group progressing to the Finals in Slovakia.
And with the squad based at St. George's Park over the course of the five days, they will play their games at Burton Albion's Pirelli Stadium and Walsall's Banks's Stadium.
The first match will be in Walsall against Portugal on Saturday 23 March, before heading back to Burton to face Russia in their second fixture two days later.
England will round-off their games with Slovenia in opposition at the Pirelli Stadium on Thursday 28 March.
Peacock will be hoping to take the Young Lions into the last eight again, after missing out on a place in the Finals last year. In 2011, the U17s reached the semi-final of the Euros before heading to the FIFA U17 World Cup in Mexico, where they reached the quarter final.
Meanwhile, England will face three warm-up games for the Elite Round in February when they travel to Portugal for the annual Algarve Tournament.
In opposition between 8 and 12 February will be Germany, Netherlands and hosts Portugal, in what will be an early dress rehearsal for the qualifiers.
All kick-off times and ticket details for the matches will be confirmed in due course.
